PRESS RELEASE Scott Ingham

SEARCH WARRANT NETS (TWO) IN-CUSTODY, AND (ONE) RECOVERED SHOTGUN:

On Wednesday, July 25, 2012, Officers from the Coalinga Police Department served two search warrants simultaneously at 601 N. Princeton, and at 475 E. Valley.

The residents at both locations were detained while officers searched the houses looking for a shotgun that was possibly used in recent shooting in Coalinga. No weapons were located at 601 N. Princeton, but a short barreled shotgun was located at 475 E. Valley street.

Arrested at 475 E. Valley Street was 26 year old Coalinga resident, Jimmy Gillitzer, for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Gillitzer was transported to the Coalinga City Jail for booking and later transported to the Fresno County Jail. During the investigation it was learned that 32 year old Coalinga resident, Tony Hernandez, who was already in-custody at the Coalinga City Jail on unrelated charges, was also booked for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Tony Hernandez also resides at 475 E. Valley street, and can not posses any firearms.
